Richard, you clearly haven’t read the article. I’m not an egalitarian, I’m an economist. Capitalism is an unsustainable system. It is abolishing itself. It is increasingly incapable of producing enough value to renew itself. It can be replaced by reverting to slavery or a socialist system of full employment.

You cite things like the ‘pink tide’ while ignoring both its successes and the fact that it was social democratic, ie not socialism but a form of capitalism. Read the article to understand the difference.
