He says it himself "nuclear would be perfect but it's too expensive" or words to that effect – it's only too expensive for capitalism because the system is dependent on producing value from exploitating labour, something nuclear isn't particularly useful for since humans can't handle nuclear material, automated machines do most of the work. Not a problem with socialism but taking value out of the equation of production doesn't cross his mind.
